My calm demeanor, sense of humor and compassion lend a hand in creating a trusting environment where healing can take place. Together we can work toward reducing stress and strengthening the quality of your life.

Health struggles, grief, and loss are unfortunately no stranger to me.  I know what it's like to lose a parent at a young age and to witness family struggle with medical illnesses.  

Personal struggles can be traumatic and life changing.  Grieving the loss of my parent at a young age left me feeling numb, disconnected socially, but also forced to be present and get things done amidst the pain.  This pulled at my heart, my mind and overall physical energy.  Grief stands nearby, runs deep, but also touches your heart, filled with an appreciation for memories and new dreams.  

My professional experience spans from working in school settings, in-home support, social service agencies and as a private practice therapist.  I enjoy working with children ages 8 plus, teens, individuals, older-aged adults and families.  Areas of interest and expertise include working with families in crisis, foster care issues, child abuse, domestic violence, loss of a parent, grief, family reunification, medical trauma, and parenting challenges by way of parent coaching and therapy.  

I am an EFT Accredited Practitioner through EFT International.   A somatic therapy technique that can be used with children and adults.  Tapping for infants through the life span, see this article about tapping for young children, click here.  Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), aka Tapping is a power method that can quickly help to relieve symptoms, when combined with therapy or a stand-alone service.
