OCD symptoms appeared, tics, separation anxiety and life became ovewhelming for us all. It took almost 2 months to discover the diagnosis of PANDAS and 1.5 years until recovery. Feeling isolated and alone, while lacking the motivation to climb out of a mild or deep depression can feel overwhelming. Anxiety may isolate and brush over your whole being, causing a debilitating or fight-flight reaction. Many people find functional coping mechanisms to get through tough times or manage to maintain a sense of normalcy. Workaholic, substance abuse, over exercising and/or social isolation are just distractions and bandaids. These coping mechanisms may serve a purpose and allow one to keep moving forward, however you many also wish to feel more relaxed, desire a sense of calm and yearn for internal healing. You deserve to explore alternative paths and realize new ways of living life to the fullest.
