I understand how to support you throughout your evaluation, drawing upon both my personal background and professional expertise. As a proud first-generation American of Norwegian descent, I combine a global perspective with a dedicated passion for serving immigrant families.

Born to a Norwegian mother, I understand firsthand the experience of navigating multiple cultural worlds. Growing up at the intersection of different traditions has given me a deep appreciation for how heritage shapes identity, family dynamics, and mental health. I bring this nuanced, culturally responsive perspective directly into my clinical practice

Throughout my career, I have documented complex histories of trauma experienced both in clients' countries of origin and within the United States. My objective is to provide a safe and supportive environment to mitigate distress during the evaluation process. While immigration evaluations are forensic in nature and do not constitute therapy, they are conducted with the highest level of clinical professionalism, empathy, and therapeutic sensitivity.

The evaluation process typically consists of one to two sessions, with total meeting time ranging from 120 to 180 minutes. Appointments can be conducted virtually or in person at my South Minneapolis office, which is conveniently located on the bus line and offers ample free off-street parking.

Your completed immigration evaluation will be finalized within one to two weeks following our last scheduled appointment, at which time copies will be sent directly to both you and your attorney. Please note that expedited evaluations are available for an additional fee.
